Presidential immunity There is no legal reason for me not to sentence Donald Trump.
So Donald Trump sentencing statement most likely conditional discharge he's been sentenced but so you have to basically avoid re arrest.
[00:15:29] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:15:30] Speaker A: If you do that then to see then you're scot free.
[00:15:33] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:15:33] Speaker A: So per conditional discharge regardless sentencing so thus January so Donald Trump the legal team please postpone.

[00:24:13] Speaker B: Well, now he's stepping up.
[00:24:27] Speaker C: Every morning I've woken up as Prime Minister I've been inspired by the resilience, the generosity and the determination of Canadians. It is the driving force of every single day I have the privilege of serving in this office.
That is why since 2015 I've fought for this country, for you, to strengthen and grow the middle class.
Why we rallied to support each other through the pandemic to advance reconciliation, to defend free trade on this continent, to stand strong with Ukraine and our democracy and to fight climate change and get our economy ready for the future.
We are at a critical moment moment in the world.
[00:25:20] Speaker D: Every morning I've woken up as Prime Minister inspired by the resilience, the generosity and the determination that characterizes us as Canadians.
This is what motivates me every day where I have the privilege of serving in this position.
That is why, since 2015, I fought for this country, for you.
Reinforce the middle class. Why? We mobilized as Canadians to support each other during the pandemic, move forward reconciliation, to defend free trade on our continent, for our unwavering support of Ukraine and democracy, and to fight against climate change and prepare the economy of the future.
We are truly going through a critical time in the world, my friends.
[00:26:24] Speaker C: As you all know, I'm a fighter. Every bone in my body has always told me to fight because I care deeply about Canadians. I care deeply about this country. And I will always be motivated by what is in the best interest of Canadians.
And the fact is, despite best efforts to work through it, Parliament has been paralyzed for months after what has been the longest session of a minority Parliament in Canadian history.
That's why this morning, I advised the Governor General that we need a new session of Parliament. She has granted this request, and the House will now be prorogued until March 24.
Over the holidays, I've also had a chance to reflect and have had long talks with my family about our future.
Throughout the course of my career, any success I have personally achieved has been because of their support and with their encouragement.
So last night over dinner, I told my kids about the decision that I'm sharing with you today.
I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister after the party selects its next leader through a robust, nationwide competitive process.
Last night, I asked the president of the Liberal Party to begin that process.
This country deserves a real choice in the next election. And it has become clear to me that if I'm having to fight internal battles, I cannot be the best option in that election.
[00:28:20] Speaker D: My dear friends, you know I'm a fighter inside. I've always fought because I care deeply about Canadians, and I will always be motivated by their best interest.
And the fact is that even with all the efforts to get through it, the Parliament has been paralyzed for months after what has been the longest minority session in the history of our country. Which is why this morning, I met with the Governor General to let her know that we needed a new parliamentary session.
She acquiesced to my request, and the House will be prorogued until March 24th.
[00:29:08] Speaker C: Forth during the holidays, I also had.
[00:29:13] Speaker D: The opportunity to think and to have long conversations with my family as to our future. Throughout my career, all these successes that I've had personally is due to their support and their encouragement.
So last night during dinner, I shared with my children the decision that I'm sharing with with you all. Today.
I resigned from my position as leader of the Liberal Party and Prime Minister once the party has chosen its next leader after a national robust, rigorous and a competitive process. Last night I asked the president of the party to start that process.
The country deserves a clear and real choice during the next elections. It has become obvious for me that if I have to focus on internal battles, I cannot be the best option during those elections.
The Liberal Party of Canada is an important institution in the history of our great country and in our democracy. A new prime minister and leader of the party will carry the values and ideas of the Liberal Party in the next elections. I'm looking forward to watching that process in the following months.
We were elected for the third time in 2021 to reinforce the economy after the pandemic and progress the interests of Canada in a complex world. And that's exactly what I will continue to do. What we will continue to do.
[00:31:02] Speaker C: For Canadians, the Liberal Party of Canada is an important institution in the history of our great country and democracy.
A new Prime Minister and leader of the Liberal Party will carry its values and ideals into that next election.
I'm excited to see the process unfold in the months ahead.
We were elected for the third time in 2021 to strengthen the economy post pandemic and advance Canada's interests in a complicated world. And that is exactly the job that I and we will continue to do for Canadians.
[00:31:46] Speaker D: Thank you very much, my friends.
[00:32:00] Speaker B: Liberal Party as things were expected.
As you know, I am a fighter over the weekend may reflect Kita.
Yeah.
[00:32:42] Speaker A: So Parliament the session minority government House of Commons.
[00:33:05] Speaker B: Privilege motion.
[00:33:14] Speaker A: Governor General no request House of Commons Parliament accept Karl.
[00:33:28] Speaker B: Parliament that does not start now until March 24th.
[00:33:55] Speaker A: It was a chance to reflect.
I intend to resign after the party selects a new leader through a robust.
[00:34:21] Speaker B: National processor Liberal Party supply.
[00:35:24] Speaker A: I think you trigger this process.
A robust process.
But I think only lies have details.
Robust process. So it will be a shortened process.
They will have to find a new leader before 24th of March. March. They cannot afford to come back to.
[00:36:00] Speaker B: Parliament with Justin Trudeau as the leader.
[00:36:02] Speaker A: With Justin Trudeau as the leader. Again, regardless of who is the leader.
So Justin Trudeau Parliament after this. No, that's not an option. So they will have to find a way to find a new leader before 24th of March.
[00:36:43] Speaker B: The conservatives the lead over the Liberals Liberal Party these supporters which would still not be enough Hypothetically speaking, Liberals at least official opposition okay.
[00:37:25] Speaker A: Conservatives already campaign Justin Trudeau De Kalaf Sari Liberals regional caucuses and all Canadians in Rasne Liberal Party caucus not just Justin Trudeau so Conservatives so Liberal caucus Conservatives already Conservatives can lagpaine so we'll see Interesting Justin Trudon the country deserves a very clear choice Options deserve Khadiya but with our internal battles a clear hochuka that I cannot be that choice I'm stepping aside so I interact intend to resign after the party selects a new leader through a robust national process.
[00:38:51] Speaker B: By the end of this day late this afternoon Process well, this was a shock in the making this was written on the wall just in Trudeau do not overstay your welcome we just intrude on.
[00:40:20] Speaker A: I am being the bigger brother so intact trendy especially post Covid so unpopularity this will hang very heavy on his legacy but then he read the room.
[00:41:22] Speaker B: Jonathan Lagda.
[00:42:15] Speaker A: Okay, I will step aside and the team cannot carry too many out of form members.
[00:42:37] Speaker B: Toronto St. Paul's election that was perhaps the time walk in the snow so for the father, if it was the walk in the snow, was it skiing in the snow?
